Using Boiling Water is a Simple Way to Create Dryer BallsĦc. Add additional water’ once some of the water has been absorbed by the wool balls, if necessary. The wool dryer balls should be submerged in the water. Cover and let sit for at least 15 minutes. Boil some water and pour the water over the wool balls. Place the wool balls in a bowl that has a lid. You will have to run through two cycles Option 2:Ħb. Place the wool balls in the washing machine and wash on hot. When all balls have been placed in the hosiery, tie off the end.Ħa. (Don’t use the wool yarn for the tying it will felt around the hose). Using the yarn, tie tightly in between each ball. If using knee highs just put balls into the toe of the hose.

Using a crochet hook or tapestry needle push the end of the thread under layers of yarn.

This size also allows for multiple dryer balls to be created from one skein of wool yarn.

Continue wrapping until your ball is the desired size.

Begin, wrapping yarn around the center, turning the yarn as you wrap.

Pull yarn off fingers and pitch the center.

Begin wrapping your wool yarn around your first two fingers about 10 times.
